Bourke

Bourke is said to be the gateway to the "real" outback.  Of considerable  heritage value as a former river port, Bourke is also a thriving regional centre with a full range of services, should you need last minute supplies or repairs.

Participants will meet in Bourke on Sunday, 30 May, at Kidman's Camp, just to the north of the main town, where overnight camping accommodation has been arranged.  Kidman's Camp has an excellent camp kitchen and other facilities to ease us into the Drive.

Everyone is invited to join a "show and shine session" in town on the Sunday afternoon for the benefit of the local community.  The following morning (Monday, 31 May), we head back to town for a lap of the main business precinct and an official farewell from Bourke Shire Council.
