A unique event

organised by the Land Rover Club of the ACT

in aid of outback communities

On Monday, 31 May 2010, a group of dedicated heritage Land Rover owners and friends set out from Bourke on a leisurely 9-day tour of the Australian Outback Click here for a map of the region visited.

Why hold an event like the Outback Land Rover Heritage Drive?  What makes us do these things?  It's because Land Rover enthusiasts have that keen camaraderie that makes them enjoy catching up for a jibber just for the common interest of being a Land Rover enthusiast.

The Outback Land Rover Heritage Drive was put together by a team from the Land Rover Club of the ACT. We chose the Corner Country for the drive and Bourke as our common starting point.  With the Corner Country an iconic region for 4WD travel, our intention was to support Corner Country communities in two ways:  by using their services and thus assisting their economies and by donating proceeds from the event to local charities.

Our thanks to the more than 80 individuals and 50 vehicles who took part.  Click here for some of their images.
